Houston driver hits teenage pedestrian

Because of the alarming number of auto accidents involving pedestrians and motorcycles, it is important for every driver to remember how dangerous the roads can be. There are a number of factors that can contribute to an accident, such as a busy Houston intersection or a distracted driver. People should always be aware of the risks and try to avoid auto accidents at all costs.

After a teenager stepped on to the road, a Houston driver couldn't avoid hitting the pedestrian, who lost her life in this accident. The driver who struck her was taken to the hospital for evaluation while her husband, who was riding with her, did not suffer any injuries.

Parents of the teenager were alarmed when they noticed she hadn't returned home, which was unusual for the child, who they stated did not have behavioral issues or problems at school. Those who have investigated the incident do not think alcohol or drugs were involved and authorities are still trying to figure out why the 14-year-old girl did not immediately return home following school. Sadly, this teenager's death is one of a number of other fatal pedestrian accidents that have recently occurred in the area.

Not only can these accidents cause serious injuries and death, but costly medical bills and funeral expenses as well. Families that lose a loved one can have to deal with crippling emotional pain as well as financial difficulty after these tragedies. Anyone who is struggling the outcome of a pedestrian accident could benefit from talking to an attorney.
