Texas truck flees scene of accident

From semis to pickups, it is always unfortunate to read about another truck accident. Sometimes there is a multi-vehicle crash, while other incidents involve a pedestrian. Regardless of the details that surround a collision, the consequences can be devastating. Factors that can cause these accidents include truck driver fatigue, poor road conditions and driving under the influence. Because personal injury and death is such a serious concern, truck drivers should always be vigilant of others and do everything they can to drive safely.

A recent incident, which is still being investigated by authorities, involves a truck driver who drove off after hitting a boy that ran into the road. The driver, who was allegedly driving over the speed limit, was recorded by surveillance footage, which law enforcement is looking at in order to try and track him down.

Fortunately, the boy that was hit will survive his injuries, although he was hospitalized on his birthday. Authorities haven't arrested the truck driver, but the boy's family members have asked him to come forward. If he is apprehended, he will face charges as a result of his behavior. The accident, which took place in West Dallas, caused the young boy to have a concussion.

In addition to significant injuries and loss of life, the financial complications that can arise from a trucking accident can be very difficult. Injuries can prevent someone from working, which can lead to lost wages, and the hospital bills and funeral costs can be very expensive. Anyone who is struggling with these issues could find it helpful to speak with an attorney.
