Dump truck involved in fatal Texas crash

Commercial vehicle accidents continue to occur for many reasons. Some incidents are caused by a fatigued truck driver, while others take place due to the negligence of another. Regardless of the reasons behind these wrecks, they can cause debilitating personal injury and even claim lives in Houston and throughout Texas. As a result, everyone on the road should be aware of the risks and do what they can to avoid another incident from causing so much pain and suffering for victims and their families.

A recent crash that took place on I-635 is being investigated by the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit for the Dallas County Sheriff's Department. Although investigators have not established the cause of the crash, the dump truck allegedly crossed the median and hit a pickup truck at roughly 12:30 p.m.

After the dump truck rolled over, the sand it was hauling was dispersed on the freeway, causing lanes to be shut down for roughly two hours as the mess was cleaned up. The drivers of both the dump truck and pickup truck lost their lives in the accident.

In addition to serious injuries and death, those involved in these crashes could suffer a number of other problems as well. Whether they have a hard time paying for hefty hospital expenses or have to deal with lost wages due to an inability to work, the financial hardships can be overwhelming. Furthermore, understanding the legal process can be difficult for some people, especially when they are already struggling to recover from a wreck. Anyone in this position may want to consider talking to an attorney.
