Trucker charged in fatal Houston crash

When a truck accident occurs, there are numerous factors that must be taken into consideration. For example, determining if the truck company was responsible for the crash in any way or whether the driver was intoxicated or driving negligently can have a significant impact on the case. In Houston, Texas, people continue to lose their lives due to a truck accident, which should remind drivers of the importance of always obeying traffic laws and driving safely.

According to law enforcement officials, a 42-year-old man was drunk when the semi truck he was driving collided with a vehicle at an intersection. The crash claimed the life of a Houston man who was not even a half mile from his home. Those who witnessed the incident told officers that the man who was hit by the semi had the right of way.

The truck driver was charged with intoxication manslaughter and placed in jail. An investigation is ongoing as authorities are analyzing video footage and talking to the suspect in an attempt to develop a better understanding of what took place. The man who died left behind four children.

In addition to physical pain and suffering, such as a permanent disability or serious head injury, truck accidents can be emotionally and financially devastating as well. Some people may have to deal with lost wages or medical expenses, while others will never be able to recover from losing a loved one. Anyone who is going through this and considering taking legal action should thoroughly analyze their options and could benefit from talking to an attorney.
