When a fatal accident occurs, family members who have lost a loved one could experience many hardships. Not only is the emotional devastation considerably difficult, but funeral costs and medical expenses are some other burdens families may face. In Houston, Texas, people who are dealing with the tragic consequences of a fatal car accident should take a close look at all of their options. Although moving forward can be very tough, anyone who has experienced the loss of a family member should focus on how they can try to recover.
A car crash in southeast Houston which took place at roughly 1 a.m. claimed the lives of two passengers who were riding along in the vehicle, which struck a light pole. According to authorities, the driver appeared to have been intoxicated.
The single-vehicle accident resulted in the closure of Interstate 45 for over four hours while workers cleaned up the scene. Officers said that the driver was heading northbound on the freeway when he did not stay in the lane and collided with the light pole.
Because every car accident is different, if someone decides to take legal action they should review all of the details of the case. Whether the wreck was caused by the negligence of another, a drunk driver or any other factor, it is important to understand which steps to take next. The legal process can be stressful and for someone who is already suffering from the loss of a loved one, it can seem even more complex. However, talking to an attorney could provide helpful assistance.
