Three commercial vehicles involved in deadly accident

Every year, commercial vehicle accidents occur throughout the nation. Sadly, these wrecks can be especially dangerous and sometimes claim lives. Furthermore, in Houston and throughout the state of Texas, people who survive a commercial vehicle collision may suffer from a serious personal injury that prevents them from working or leads to costly hospital expenses. Anyone who is going through this firsthand should closely review the wreck and do their best to try and recover.

A deadly accident that recently took place on Interstate 40 in New Mexico involved three commercial vehicles. The collision, which claimed one driver's life, resulted in the closure of I-40 for over two hours and caused a massive traffic backup. After investigating the wreck, officials determined that the tire on a passenger car carrier failed, causing the vehicle to cross the center line and hit a guardrail before turning over.

The driver of a commercial vehicle travelling in the opposite direction tried to avoid the overturned passenger car carrier by decelerating abruptly, prompting a third commercial vehicle to strike him from behind. The driver who was struck from behind was thrown out of his vehicle and lost his life in the collision.

From lost wages to injuries and death, a commercial vehicle accident can cause all sorts of hardships. These incidents continue to take place for a plethora of reasons, from driver fatigue to a negligent company. Anyone who is struggling to move forward after an accident should explore all of their options and may want to consider discussing what happened with an attorney and taking legal action.
