Houston driver flees after hitting pedestrian two times

Pedestrian accidents often lead to tremendous suffering, whether they claim someone's life or cause them to suffer serious injuries which will impact them permanently. As a result, whenever a negligent or drunk driver is responsible for causing one of these crashes, they should be held accountable. In Houston, Texas, a number of factors may increase the likelihood of a vehicle-pedestrian accident occurring, such as busy roads and aggressive drivers. Whenever someone gets behind the wheel, they should make sure to obey traffic laws and look out for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Law enforcement officials say that two men were walking in Northeast Houston when one of them was hit by the side view mirror of an SUV. Investigators are not sure if the driver meant to hit the pedestrian with their mirror. However, as the SUV was driving away, the pedestrian yelled and made gestures towards the driver, prompting the driver to turn around and strike the man once again.

After being hit by the SUV a second time, the pedestrian was taken to the hospital for injuries he suffered in the incident, which took place near Salerno Lane and Fulton Street at roughly 10:15 p.m. The driver of the SUV took off after hitting the pedestrian a second time.

In addition to emotional and physical suffering, those who survive an auto-pedestrian accident could experience other problems, such as financial difficulties caused by lost wages or medical expenses. When someone decides to take their case to the courtroom, they should evaluate the details of the incident closely and may want to talk with an attorney.
