Two deaths reported in Texas car accident

While many people understand the risks that come with driving, such as being involved in a car accident, some don't understand how painful it can be to lose a family member or friend. Unfortunately, there are too many deadly auto accidents in the Houston area. In order to reduce the frequency of these tragedies, drivers should always be vigilant while on the road.

In East Texas, a woman was driving along with her male passenger when they were struck by a car that failed to stop at a light. The 38-year-old woman lost her life at the scene of the crash. After being taken to a nearby hospital, the 34-year-old passenger who was riding with her also passed away.

Those who have investigated the fatal accident believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash. The driver who was responsible for the accident, a 34-year-old man, was charged with intoxication manslaughter for the second time, along with another charge for intoxication assault. He was placed in the Bi-State Justice Center and has not been given bond.

Fatal motor vehicle accidents can cause a number of problems for families dealing with the incident. Aside from the emotional pain that comes with losing a loved one, the financial burdens can be unbearable. In addition to hospital bills and other costs, some people struggle to pay for the funeral expenses. If you have lost a loved one in a deadly auto crash, it could be a good idea to talk with an attorney.
