Texas delivery truck driver causes fatal crash

When a commercial vehicle accident occurs, there are a number of factors that investigators have to take into consideration. With some collisions, a negligent company is responsible, while others can be blamed on the driver. In Houston, maneuvering through busy traffic can be difficult, which further increases the likelihood of a wreck. Victims of these crashes sometimes suffer from personal injury and even death, which is why it is so important for companies and their drivers to ensure responsible, safe driving at all times.

After failing to yield at an intersection, a delivery truck slammed into the side of an SUV with four passengers. Three of the vehicle's occupants, a 29-year-old man and two children, lost their lives, while a 2-year-old girl was hospitalized for her injuries.

The delivery truck driver, a resident of Austin, was hospitalized due to minor injuries. According to officials, the SUV flipped over multiple times, ejecting the three children. After an initial investigation, authorities do not believe that anyone in the SUV was wearing a seat belt.

From a bus accident to a taxi crash, there can be significant consequences for those affected by these types of incidents. On top of physical and emotional pain, the financial problems can be overwhelming. With funeral costs and medical expenses, victims and their families could struggle to pay bills, which only adds more hardship to an already difficult situation. Furthermore, some of the victims of these collisions may not be familiar with legal proceedings or know how to move forward. If you are experiencing any of these issues, you could benefit from discussing the situation with an attorney.
