A number of factors could be responsible for an auto accident taking place, from drunk drivers to poor road conditions. Even when drivers obey laws and do everything they can to drive responsibly, there will always be the risk of a car accident. Sadly, people in Houston and throughout Texas continue to lose their lives in these wrecks, which can also cause severe emotional pain for their friends and families. These tragic fatalities should remind drivers of the risks that are present every time they get behind the wheel.
After her car struck a light pole, a 16-year-old high school student from Texas was stuck inside of her vehicle, which had caught on fire. Authorities attempted to extract her from the vehicle and extinguish the fire as soon as possible, but the teenager lost her life after being taken to the hospital.
The road that the crash occurred on was closed while workers fixed power lines that had fallen down due to the wreck. In order to help students who were suffering with the loss, the high school the girl attended provided counselors for her friends and classmates.
In addition to the loss of life, those who survive a car accident could suffer crippling physical injuries and emotional pain. Furthermore, the financial toll can be overwhelming. On top of lost wages that result from being unable to work, costly medical expenses can be especially burdensome. When someone is struggling with these issues due to an accident that was caused by a negligent driver, talking to a legal professional could be smart.
