When a truck crash occurs, life may never be the same for those who were involved. Whether someone passes away, struggles with a permanent disability or has trouble covering their medical expenses, these devastating accidents often have serious consequences. In Houston and all over the state of Texas, these tragedies continue to make headlines and occur for a variety of reasons, from distracted driving to negligent truck companies and chaotic roads.
According to law enforcement officials, two people were inside of a concrete truck when it drove off the road and overturned. The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said that the concrete mixer was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
The wreck, which took place near Highway 59 on Crabb River Road, left one person dead and another hospitalized. At this time, the condition of the hospitalized individual is not known. The incident occurred in the early morning and prompted the closure of the road until shortly before 8 a.m.
When someone has had their life torn apart after a truck accident caused by another's negligence, they may decide to take legal action to receive the compensation they need. Before filing a lawsuit, anyone who is going through this should closely study what happened and take the right approach. Many people in this position meet with a knowledgeable legal professional to gain a better understanding of their options and ensure that the right steps are taken. For some people, going to court feels overwhelming. However, it is imperative for truck accident victims to do everything they can to recover and hold those responsible for the crash accountable.
