When someone is injured in a car crash, it can have an impact on their life in numerous ways. On top of being unable to work or take care of daily responsibilities, they could also have a great deal of physical, emotional and even financial hardship. After all, medical expenses in Houston and throughout Texas can be costly. Whether they were involved in a drunk driving accident or were hit by a distracted driver, it is important for people to understand their options and find the best way to move forward.
After striking multiple vehicles, a woman was ejected from her vehicle by more than 100 feet. Additionally, the engine and transmission of her vehicle were torn from the chassis. Officials believe the woman, who was flown to the hospital with head trauma, was intoxicated.
Three other vehicles were hit by the intoxicated driver, resulting in numerous injuries. One of the injured, a 20-year-old pregnant woman, was sent to the hospital after her truck crashed into a tree due to the collision. The woman responsible for these wrecks was driving in the wrong lane on FM 1485, which was shut down for two hours as a result of debris from the collisions. The incident took place shortly before 6:00 p.m.
When a reckless driver causes an accident that injures or kills someone else, victims of the crash (and their families) should be able to receive the compensation they deserve. However, people who are not very familiar with the legal process may have difficulty trying to navigate through the system. Anyone who is in this situation may want to consider reaching out to a legal professional.
