Sometimes, auto accidents are caused by poor road conditions, inclement weather or some other factor. However, when a negligent driver is responsible for causing a commercial vehicle collision, they must be held accountable. In Houston, Texas, car accident victims who are struggling with a personal injury or the death of a family member should explore all of their legal options and do everything they can to recover physically, emotionally and even financially.
An ambulance recently collided with a commercial vehicle at an intersection in Missouri amid thick fog. A medical patient who was being transported in the ambulance was declared dead, while the driver of the ambulance suffered serious injuries in the collision. Both the driver of the ambulance and another person who was riding in the vehicle were sent to the hospital.
According to the crash report, the ambulance hit the commercial vehicle, a dump truck, after a semi truck came to an abrupt halt, which prompted the ambulance to switch lanes. The report also said that a full reconstruction of the crash, which took place on a Saturday morning at roughly 8:45 a.m., is being carried out.
In addition to loss of life, physical pain and emotional trauma, a commercial vehicle accident may also cause devastating financial hardships (such as funeral costs and hospital expenses), which make it even more difficult for people to deal with the loss of a loved one. Anyone who is going through this should take action right away and may want to consider talking to a knowledgeable legal professional.
